We asked you guys earlier in the year if you guys played the card game, Magic: The Gathering, and if you guys would be interested in participating in a tournament at SpringFestNY. Well we heard your voices and we are proud to have Kings Games host our first ever Magic: The Gathering tournament at SpringFestNY.
The Grand Prize of this tournament is a Booster Box of packs valued at $100 for the winner. We’ll be having the Magic: The Gathering tournament on Saturday March 15th from 11:30am to 4:30pm with sign ups beginning at 10:30am. Entry into this tournament is only $10 and you must have purchased a SpringFestNY ticket in order to participate. The first 30 people to sign up for the tournament will be allowed to participate.
The Magic: The Gathering tournament will follow standard tournament rules:
- Constructed decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards.
- There is no maximum deck size; however, you must be able to shuffle your deck with no assistance.
- If a player wishes to use a sideboard, it must have fifteen or less cards.
- With the exception of basic land cards, a player’s combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than four of any individual card, counted by its English card title equivalent. All cards named Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest are basic.

- Gatecrash
- Dragon’s Maze
- Magic 2014
- Theros
- Born of the Gods
